Holy shit. This is so awesome. I had wanted something like this tattooed on me, just in a more… I guess, medieval style, if that makes sense.

I generally take a lot of flack for saying this - but I think Scarlett Johanssen is outrageously gorgeous. Her voice is all gravely and whatnot. Oh man.

I’ve already got a FRENCH tattoo on the back of my leg but I’d get another.

I was born in a small town in Quebec. My mother was from Montréal, but was staying with a friend up in a little town L’Annonciation (which is now called Rivière-Rouge - translated, literally means Red River).
I’m proud to be from Quebec. I’m proud to have Montréal roots. I’m proud to have ties to L’Annonciation and ultimately, proud to be a Quebecer/Québécois.
I’ve lived in Ontario for a large portion of my life - but my life started there, and a big part of my heart remains there. They’re my people. They’re a totally different culture that - unless you’ve been, you just won’t really get. A counterculture people often. Not afraid to speak up and tell the rest of the country to fuck off or to do their own thing.
For over 100 days there’s been student protests going on. They originated in Montréal and have spread throughout the province and into other places, too. 2,500 people have been arrested and 250+ injured. I won’t get too into the details on the strike, but read up on it here if you’re interested on why this is happening.
Tonight - the protests hit where I live now, Ottawa. It’s just across the river from Gatineau - which is a city in Quebec.
It was such a great experience. Singing french protest chants while others sang english ones. The crowd would switch it up. Tons of people carrying red flags. Everybody wearing the red squares (which even made their way to Cannes!) and banging on pots and pans.
I took some photos. The above one is one of them.
I’ll stand with them and continue to march as long as I need to. No matter how violent the police to get. No matter how much they throw back at us - we’ll keep fighting.
It’s not just about tuition anymore. It’s turned into way more.

Went out last night and shot some shots for some good pals.
If you like folky stuff, go give their band a listen. I don’t like folk that much and I think it’s pretty great.
Anyways. The rest of the set is here, so take a peek at that too.

I’m designing a couple t-shirts for my buddies in Alaskan.

Go give them a few listens, or else Gary will hit me.

So, a buddy of mine who I’ve worked with for years (5+) lost his battle with cancer today. It’s a major bummer.
The reason I have the ‘Hawks and Stanley Cup up there, is because this guy was the biggest and most loyal Chicago fan you’d ever see. He knew everything and anything about the team. I’m really glad he got to see them win a few years ago.
He was a really close and great friend to me and I’ll totally miss him.
To me, death isn’t a huge deal. I’m not religious and I don’t believe in an afterlife, but it’s cool to think that the atoms that comprised your body will eventually go into forming other things or out into space, or, well, wherever. There’s pretty much no limit to what parts of you can do after death. That’s a comforting thought.
It’s been a rough few weeks though and this certainly didn’t help. Damn.
Obligatory FUCK CANCER.
